Img_9284I really like Valentines Day, really. Well not so much the actual day but the season of Valentines I guess. Valentines, chocolate, yumminess all around. I'm so swamped right now and really bummed that we weren't able to fully get into the season this year so I've dug into the One More Moore Valentine archives and pulled out a few ideas if you are feeling in a crafy mood. If you want to make the above oreo's you can click here.

IMG_3262A while back I did a tutorial on how to make this felt "LOVE" banner for Store & Style. You can get the directions here. MeringueMaybe it's yummy fluffy french meringues you are after (these were so easy and so good) You can find my recipe here.

IMG_3306Maybe it's truffles you are in the market for? I used this recipe. Img_3664_1

This apron goes way back to 2007 (you'd be amazed at how many people still click on this link to make the apron.) You can find the directions here.

Happy Valentines Day all you love birds! We have a few little friends coming over on Saturday for a movie and yummy food. I am so close to finishing the quilt and will share dimensions/fabric, etc., for those of you who e-mailed.

xoxo

How fun! I want to watch Charlie Brown! We have the book and I read it to the kids. Hmmm…I wonder if I can find the cartoon!
Thanks for all of the beautiful ideas!

You forgot to mention that Martha Stewart ripped you off on the homemade oreo idea. Right down to the way they were staged! (Right? Am I remembering this correctly?)
    Love all your crafty goodness.

Oh, I am making the meringues right now! I can’t get them to hold the tip shape, you know? I wonder if that means I didn’t whip them long enough? (It’s my first time) Thanks so much for all these delicious links!

    Happy Valentines to you, too!
Yes- they probably were not whipped enough. Did you whip for 30-40 minutes in the mixer? I know it’s a long time but that is probably why they are not holding shape.
Let me know how they work!!

Yup, I let them mix the full 40 minutes. They still taste great just not as fluffy as they should be. But, I wonder if our eggs are the issue? They were just laid this morning, actually this afternoon, you know? Hmm…I wonder…
Thanks so much again! I’ll dip them in chocolate tomorrow and they’ll be perfect! Enjoy your day and that sweet little Valentine baby of yours!

“They were just laid this morning!”
THAT IS CRAZY! I have no experience with freshly laid eggs..I wonder if it has anything to do with the temperature?

You know, we have an organic poultry farm 🙂 http://www.redcombfarm.com We raise 60 hens, organically, for eggs and we’ll be adding meat birds soon. Fresh eggs are the best! But they are not good for some things, like hard boiling, so I thought maybe the freshness would effect the meringue somehow? Who knows! They were still great, just not nearly as pretty as yours! Hope you guys had a great day! ooxx
