IMG_3476 Wow- these past 6 days have been a bit of a whirlwind. I spent Thanksgiving in the hospital with Charlie and so we celebrated on Friday. Mom has been here which has been a big help. Henry & Kate have been so sick. Horrible coughing and fevers and restless nights. Oy! Luckily this little monkey has been a really good sleeper allowing us to give a little extra tlc to the other children. What timing! IMG_3475 We are trying to find our new rhythm as a family of 5. I think it's been especially hard for Henry so we are working on that. He went out for a special 'boys night' with Papa last night for an evening of glow-in-the-dark mini golf and then to a Japanese restaurant for dinner (Henrys' choice.) Kate, who is totally obsessed with 'babies' (and started pointing & saying "BEBE!! BEBE!!" from the second we came home with Charlie) is a doting, loving older sister who occasionally pokes out Charlie's eyes or smothers him with slobbery kisses. IMG_3480 I am feeling better day by day and especially look forward to the quiet evenings when everything is still and I get to soak up (and smell!) all the beauty that is this sweet and perfect newborn baby.

Isn't this picture so funny? He looks like a perplexed little old man!

Seriously … he’s not such the “little old man” in person.
As crazy as it’s been, I’ve loved all of it.

Oh my gosh, he is PERFECT! My third came out looking like a little old man too 😉 I’m telling you, time moves progressively faster with each child. It’s truly unbelievable.
The transition takes time from 2-3 but it’ll all fall into place. Hang in there and it’s great that you are getting some rest.
I am swooning and my youngest is only 7 months!

Congratulations again. You must be so tired! But isn’t it amazing the strength our children give us, just as it seems they are the ones sapping it all away.
We hope your coughs and fevers have been resolved, and love love love the pics of Charlie. he is darling….no little old man could look that cute!

He’s so cute!! I need to check your blog more often, I love it! By-the-way this is way old news but I wanted to comment on your post about the “Indian” party. My husband is 1/4 Indian (full blooded Cherokee Grandpa) and he wasn’t the least big offended by it. I thought it was ADORABLE! People will find offense to anything. We should be teaching our children about different cultures and Indians are definitely something we don’t want to forget!
LOVE the quilt, I have many of those same fabrics waiting to be cut into a quilt. I love them!
