IMG_3216 I feel like I've been hit by a freight train. I've been sick since Saturday. Oy oy oy. Body aches, sore throat, sniffles, it's been a killer.  I'm so behind on Halloween costumes. Kate's blue felt dress had to be made twice. 18 mo's/ 2T- they are similar…or so I thought. The 2T was gigantic and so the entire dress had to be remade. I'm glad though, the smaller version is such a better fit on her. Anyway- I've never made real people clothes out of felt before, have you? Probably not, I mean why would you make real people clothes out of craft felt??IMG_3219 I'm very excited about Kate's costume. It's going to be adorable (and a little bit hilarious.) Henry, well he keeps changing his mind. I'm going to have to just pick one and run with it. We'll be on the hunt tomorrow for costume parts (which has been a challenge thus far.)

Cough, cough.

I'm tired and going to bed.

    Sick is not on the list of things you need. Get better soon. Hey, just be glad you can actually leave your house. We are feeling the cabin fever since the sky dumped 2 feet of snow… Ok, maybe less, but still!

    my middle son is going to be robin this year (my oldest is batman) and i made his costume out of craft felt as the 70’s costume pattern called for…..kind of strange!

    So sorry to hear you have the Utah bug. That thing is going around. The great news is it clears under 2 weeks but that 2 weeks isn’t fun.
    Kate’s costume looks like it is going to be beautiful. I can’t wait to see both kids photos in their costumes.
    Last year I made a “joker” jacket in purple felt. It was smashing but my son decided he didn’t want to be the joker so it has sat in the closet all year. This year he decided (last night) he did indeed want a costume so we pulled out the purple jacket…and it still fit so he is going to be Jimmy Hendrix with a purple jacket. He might look more like Prince but at least he has a costume to trick or treat in.
    Good luck on your accessory shopping. I do hope you get feeling better quickly!
