Bellagio
My sister was in Vegas for a week and so I drove up with the kids for a less-than-24-hour road trip. I remembered that I had a free night at the Bellagio Hotel that I'd been hanging onto for 3+ years (that I got back in the day when I was a working girl, and by working girl, I mean working girl).

The kids had a ball. I think they would have been fine if we never left the hotel.  I stayed here for a week when Henry was 5 months old. My Mom came down to watch and stay with him in our room while I worked and kept him close so I could come and nurse him when I had a  break. She would wheel his stroller up to one of these big windows and he would just stare out for what seemed like hours. Times have not changed. Bellagio3
My previous job led me to Las Vegas a lot. So much so, that I cringe everytime we even drive through it on our way to Utah. It's symbolic of long, hard days, tired feet and a job that I didn't love. Going on a vacation there has never been anything I've wanted to do. But we had such a great time. It was so good to see Vanessa and good to have a little bit of a change to our daily routines (and it doesn't hurt to stay at the Bellagio). We visited the Chinese New Year Garden (which changes every season):

and the floor-to-ceiling chocolate fountain:

And while at the end of day, I still had tired feet, this time there was a new baby to nurse, and that old 5 month old baby has now grown to a near 4 year old superman.

Life is good.

Morgan, I can’t express fully how much it meant to me to have up pickup and leave LA with such a short notice, to come visit me in Vegas. I was feeling so lonely, and to see you and the kids really meant A LOT! They are adorable and I had a blast photographing them! Thanks for letting me do that! I love you so much!

Looks like a great trip. Beautiful pictures. I love the one of Henry looking out the window from behind. It looks very old-fashioned 🙂

    Hi Morgan!
~WOW~ How things have changed! It is nice to see you at the Bellagio with children instead of being exhausted with swollen feet, with contracts to be signed in hand! You all look great. I hope to see you all next time you are in the Boston area.

What a fun trip! I am a friend of your mom’s… she came to a Mary Kay party at my house a couple nights ago and it was fun to meet her! She gave me the link to your blog. Isn’t it nice to be able to keep in touch with family and friends even when they’re out of state? My mom lives in Atlanta and my 2 kids miss her TONS, but can at least stay a little bit in touch with technology. I also have a friend, Aimee-Claire, that works at the Spa at the Bellagio… VERY fun. OK… I think I’ve written a novel instead of posted a comment… ;o)

    Morgan,
I think you are the Morgan who married Chris, who is Charity’s little brother & that I worked with for a brief moment in Utah.
You look great! Charity kept me a little updated about you but, last I heard you were working on the east coast? We don’t talk much! We just moved from the San Diego area….bummer to know your in So Cal!
I actually found you because of the dang cute ruffle apron-I made one…thanks! You are totally Martha Stewart…scratch that…Morgan Moore! Wow, even a cool name to go with it! I tried you on etsy, but don’t know if you check that much…anyway, I would love to email-e_gardner2003@yahoo.com (Ellen Gardner)
