    I’m thinking if you wanted a little stability, you could slip a cardstock heart into the biggest heart before stitching it closed.
    Or cut the cardstock out with scalloped (rounded or pointed) scissors a tad bigger than the heart, insert and stitch closed. Then it’d have a “lacey” border.
    Or not.
    Sorry … you know Moms … especially this one.
