Last month, Azucar sent me a link from Design*Sponge for making your own paper ornaments. These were so fun and such a cinch to make. I can't tell you how many ornaments I've made. Tons.

These were packaged up today and mailed to my sister Annika, to hang in her salon window in SLC. I hit my local Paper Source and picked up (3) posterboards. They have such a great selection of color there- I grabbed the lime green, forest green and red. Anyway, at $1.00 each, you can make a ton of ornaments for $3.00. I actually never had any intention of putting them on the tree, but rather hanging them at different lengths in the corner of a room or something. When I started making them, I used what I had in my paper stash and made these:Ornaments
Windy days=very blurry pictures. While I think I like the solid colors more for the holidays, I think the printed patterns would be good year-round.

Anyway- very easy and great for kids to make, too. You can get all the directions from Design*Sponge here.

p.s. Cinnamon rolls are being re-made on Tuesday. Any cinnamon roll prayers you could offer up on my behalf would be greatly appreciated. You may, after-all, be getting said cinnamon rolls.

Enjoy!

oh, these look wonderful and so easy to make, just what I need 🙂 I’ve been making very time-consuming hand stitched felt ornaments and now I’m just feeling overwhelmed spending so much time on them while I have several knitted gifts to make. This post could’ve not have better timing, thank you!

Oh, I love these! I have been looking for something to make for our tree that all of my kidlets can help with, and I think this would be so fun! And the ones you made with your paper stash, seriously cute! I think something like that would look incredibly fun hanging in my older daughters room. Love it! I need to go through some of my own stash I have around here somewhere. Thank you!

Love these ornaments! My idea is to make some smaller ones as package decorations customized for each recipient! Couldn’t be easier and they look fabulous. That’s what we like–fast and fabulous!

after your cinnamon roll fiasco last week, i whipped out my recipe, tweaked it and was inspired to make my own cinnamon rolls. they were the softest sweetest rolls i’ve ever made. i posted the recipe here if you are interested in giving it a try. it makes 1 dozen rolls.

i just ruined a batch of my own cinnamon rolls the other day by adding the wrong amount of sugar-somehow 1/2 cup on my recipe card got turned into 2 cups in the bowl….so i definitely will send you good cinnamon roll thoughts for yours! good luck!

I love the different papers used in the ornaments….so cute. As for the cinnamon rolls, I say get Pillsbury Grands made with Cinnabon cinnamon – put them in your paper pans and call it a day! They are delicious!

I totally saw them, Reed works on the next street up. Wed. night we picked him up and while we were waiting for him we drove around the block a couple of times. It was around 7:00 at night. They looked good! She must have just put them up that day after she got them.

I love those! Use used such cute paper. For someone who doesn’t consider creativity apart of my DNA, these seem easy enough and are adorable.
