SNOW GLOBES! I made them one year with first graders- I found the directions on Martha & did most of the prep work at home… then let the kids put in the “snow” & glycerin & water… so fun. Great way to use bbfood jars- I asked around to get enough for the whole class.

How about Calendars? I have made them many times in a group setting.
I have posted one on my blog today that should work for you (easy, inexp and you should easliy be able to throw together the needed materials).
All you will really need is office clipboards and paper – the rest you can embellish away with – easy to understand once you see the picture!

I just found out about HP’s site with thousands of FREE downloadable crafty things to do. They range in all levels of expertise and tell the estimated time to finish a project. Pretty cool! Some of my favorites are 3D ornaments from paper!

wow, there are some good ones already on here.. I like the babyfood jar stuff (because we are moving from stage 2 to stage three now :D!) but I say either santa Jars (cotton balls and felt and google eyes on babyfood jars, filled to make candles or filled with candy) or if your going for kid crafty, do Fleece scarves.. like the blankets only you make them in a strip and let the kids tie the ends. really easy and fast and a good take home gift. 😀

I love these little angels, they look fairly simple, and all you need is old cereal boxes, wood beads, and maybe some yarn. I think childrens’ versions would be so cute!

I’ve been making freezer paper tee-shirts. Just have everyone bring their own blank tee and you can supply the paint and freezer paper for not too much cash. I’d say maybe $2-$3 per shirt.
Mine are pretty complex, but they can be a single run… silhouette type of designs.
If you want to do multiple runs, just be sure that the solid colors are either done last, or are just lines or small blocks. When ironing a stencil it will pucker any paint that is solid, which isn’t much of an issue with small design elements.
I have a couple more shirts to post. Maybe tomorrow…

Oh, I also did cool cereal box angles/tin men for gifts last year…
The paper collage with photo heads was also super easy and cheap. Just requires photos and an idea.
I’ve got other ideas too, just click on the latest creations link… but I’m sure you’ve seen them all one time or other, from me or others.

Advent calendar cards! You make 25 little cards with any Christmas paper (even last year’s wrapping paper). Put numbers 1-25 on the front. Write a family activity inside each card and then tape shut, punch a hole, tie some ribbon, and hang on the tree.

I’ve got the perfect thing. Bird’s nest ornaments. Seriously, takes about 30 seconds and it’s cheap..but very very cool.
