Nieprint

Congratulations to Julie, who very generously, was the highest bidder at $1,000 for the sweet Nie
Doll.  If you read the comments on the doll post, there were a lot of
opinions on what people thought Christine should do in regards to her
dolls. I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.Handemade   is  wonderful.
I love that this doll is one of a kind. I love that it is not mass
produced, no one in the world will have a doll just like this one.  I
love that the owners of this doll will know and appreciate how much
time and effort went into her. I hope that when they look at her, they
will remember the great cause from which she came. This cause that has
brought thousands together to rally and support and love and pray for
those sweet Nielsons. I think that's pretty special.

The framed print is just a teaser of what Christine is donating for tomorrow's shop update. There will only be a few of these..I'm just sayin'. I'm hoping to get a mosaic up tonight of what you can expect to see tomorrow. Rest
assured there is still a ton of great stuff left: jewelry, tote's,
prints, children's stuff… all very cool.  There is no rhyme or reason
as to what has been listed up to this this point. I basically plop meself onto  the couch and grab whatever is on top of the pile and go from there. As of late, candy corn and CFDC as we call it, are on the menu. It's the late night snack of
champions. I can't drink caffeine after 3 or I'll never fall asleep.
What's happened to me? I'm getting old. Oh CFDC= caffeine free diet coke.

Mom called today:
"I wish I could be there to help you out with all of this" she said.

"I know, me, too."

"I should just jump in the car and come down" she says

"So what's stopping you? FOR THE LOVE OF NIE, come and help me!"

And
2 hours later, her bags were packed and she hit the road. Currently,
she's probably somewhere  near Fillmore, UT (hey, don't forget to stop
and get a potato log!!) It's about a 10 hour drive, so with a stop over
1/2 way, she's set to arrive early afternoon tomorrow. I can't wait. I
really need her help.

I
just wanted to say thank you for supporting this sale, and supporting
all the artists who have donated. I know a lot of them were worried
that their items wouldn't sell (can you imagine?? everything is so
cool!) To have nearly everything sell out this morning in just under 9
minutes left me really choked up (and not because someone beat me to
what I wanted.) I just stared at the screen, refreshing, refreshing,
tears were welling, welling. I just know your support means so much to
the family. Thank you for being here and cheering from the sidelines.

JULIE, PLEASE SEND YOUR DONATION DIRECTLY TO THEIR FUND AND E-MAIL ME YOUR RECEIPT. I'LL SHIP THE DOLL ASAP.

xoxo

Morgan, If I had 400 free bucks, I’d jump on a plane and come help out. I feel so helpless some 3,000 miles away! But, I will have you know, I have cried many a tears thinking about what you’ve done, for Nie and for all her fans! I get so choked up thinking about the generosity and love that is in the hearts of all these bloggers and their handi-crafts. Wow…it’s inspiring and it makes me want to be more generous.

Morgan, you really are amazing. I was hoping to be able to donate something to the sale, but with my baby due in a week (yikes!), I admit I just didn’t get to it. So I thought I’d just buy something to support the cause, but just about everything is long gone by the time I get a chance to check it out! I’m sorry it’s keeping you crazy busy, but I’m glad everything has gone so well. You are awesome! (And I think I will add YOU to my prayers right along with Nie. I’m glad your mom is coming to help you out!)

Hooray! I was thinking it would be a wonderful compromise if Christine were willing to provide some mini portraits! This makes me giddy. I’ve been too slow in tuning in to the etsy sale to pick anything up, but I’ll certainly keep trying! People, you’re all really doing a lot to strengthen my belief in the human spirit.

You are a gift to the Nielsons, too. Thank you for all you are doing. You are such a blessing. And your mom, too!
I know this has been going on for a couple of days and will for a few more. May people still contribute/send items to you?

Morgan! I can’t believe what a success this has been. I wish you lived closer. I would be more than happy to help out, but I’m in Utah w/ 5 kiddies in tow … so I’ll keep checking in online. I can’t help but tear up when I see all the love pouring out from everyone. It says a lot about who we are and gives me all kinds of hope for my children in the future. It’s scary watching the news stories these days … but this is one story that changes EVERYTHING! I am proud to be a part of it.
Are you accepting any more items for the sale? My lamp sold the first day, but I would be happy to send more.

    Morgan,
You are so kind to have done all of this. I have been so moved my the kindness of bloggers and keep trying to figure out a way to help. You have come up with such a wonderful idea to benefit this family. Thank you for showing the world that Nie’s kindness is just the start of the world’s beauty. I echo Vanessa’s comment. If there is anything I can do from afar to help please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you so much for everything you have done!
I too have not been one of the lucky ones yet to try and buy one of the items. The two hour time difference always puts me in a touch spot in my day to remember to stop and get on the computer. Hopefully I will have better luck tomorrow.

First of all I am kicking myself for not skipping school today to shop in the sale- I will always covet the mini framed portraits! Second, what a wonderful selfless thing you are doing- I am happy I was asble to donate to the auction and wish the shop was open indefinitely so I could actually purchase something too!

I’m wondering if you have a tally of what the sale has brought in thus far, not including the auctioned off Nie Nie doll. Just curious. It’s going so well and everything is being sold every day! It’s amazing and I can’t wait to see how successful this weeks event is. Way to go!

Morgan-you’re awesome! And so is your Mom. I admire you for organizing this wonderful benefit! I wish there was a way I could help you out, too. And I was happy that my items sold. 😉 I think I need a faster computer, I kept trying to buy something and then it would be gone. I was able to get a postcard, but I’ll give it another try tomorrow. You are doing an incredible job!
