Me: Shock and awe
Chris (totally hurt) “I can’t believe that you think his outfit is so funny that it’s actually laughable. What is so wrong with his outfit???”
Me: “I don’t even know where to start…how about the socks. What is he 70 and living in Miami??”

It’s totally precious. He is really getting tall!!! I LOVE it when my husband dresses my son. He doesn’t have “outfits” like my girl does, so he just guesses. Sometimes his choices are awful. I only wish he looked as hip as Henry!!!

He’s so darling! In an old man sort of way. How fun!
Glad to hear also that you finally settled on a name, and a good one it is! I’ve loved that name my entire life and have proof since that’s what I named my Cabbage Patch Kid. (OK, it was Katie, but close enough). Kate Moore sounds so sophisticated/cute/smart/fun — you name it! The world is her oyster!LikeLike

No….if he was 70 and living in Miami the sock would be black and he’d be wearing them with sandals!!!
Believe me, I know from experience.

It’s so cute that Chris picked this outfit. Henry’s got a little emo pose going, with the foot and looking off to the side. He’s so adorable, and I love his shoes.

Okay, I’m in the office and Jason is in the other room on the laptop, and suddenly I can hear him laughing out loud all the way in here. I ask what’s so funny and he tells me to look at your blog.
Love it!
P.S. I keep thinking about Kate and her beautiful name. I really love it, especially with Henry. It’s so perfect!LikeLike

Yeah I’m thinking emo boy pose, like he’s waiting for his band to get there.

how cute is he?! But i know what you mean… I get really nervous, when my boyfriend is dressing our little babygirl.. Not at all colour coordinated!! More colour confused;-)
And love the name Kate.. I have had the same name issue with my little girl.. But have decided to learn to love the name Celia, but its hard..

Just curious…. did Henry dress himself or did his Dad help?
This is where the laughing would begin as a chuckle but end up as a belly laugh!LikeLike

Ok, this made me laugh because my husband always dresses my son up in things I would have never even considered. For example, camo shirt, cowboy boots, long pants and 102 degree heat.
Your little guy is precious!!!!LikeLike

Henry didn’t dress himself. He only rarely has opinions on what he wants to wear and mostly it’s the shoes that he wants to choose as was the case this day!LikeLike
-
He’d fit right in where we’re at! 🙂
By the way, I love the name Kate too! I’m glad that you found a name you really like…I think that’s soooo important!LikeLike

I wish you could see the picture of my cute little 2 year old daughter when my husband brought her to see her new baby brother. (o.k. it was 25 years ago!…but I still have the picture so vividly in my mind) Oh my gosh. She had 2 of the most lopsided ponytails and a funny little play outfit with her black patent leather shoes. It’s a good thing she was so cute! I thought it was sweet he at least tried to do her hair.

My son Boston would think that Henry dresses way cool. Boston is fond of the socks pulled to his knees, his puma like tennis shoes, his t-shirt with the cut off sleeves and a backword hat. It’s like a mix of hillbilly meats hipster. And, when he adds the shark tooth necklace, I just have to turn away! Henry is adorable and most mom’s realize that our lovely children dress themselves.

I seem to recall your Dad letting you wear the same dress to kindergarten 5 days in a row while I was out of town.
It was that little blue and white seersucker dress with strawberry appliques in the corners of the white collar. You loved that dress!!!
I also remember Matt dressing himself in red from head to toe … red sneakers, socks, corduroy pull-on pants, t-shirt with the Superman insignia your Dad had drawn on in black marker and the red cape I’d made (adorned with the same black marker insignia).
“We’re going to the Doctor! You can’t wear that … you look silly!!” I’d exclaimed in horror.
What happened next was forever seared into my heart and I can never remember it without pain.
His big precious 2 yr.-old eyes filled with tears and with trembling chin he proclaimed, “You can’t say that to me!!”
My heart broke, I knew he was right and I apologized and vowed I would never again assault my children’s spirits by making such comments about their fashion color choices.
He wore his outfit with spirit intact and no one thought I was a rotten mother for letting him.LikeLike

I secretly think this outfit is brilliant.
