Hi folks. 40 weeks. Today. Cripes. Last night I braved the "Dancing with the Stars 100th episode/wrap party" in Hollywood. If that wasn’t going to put me in labor, nothing would. I was the most pregnant lady there (and I think the most clothed.) I even wore heels. Where’s my award?? More people accidentally rubbed up against my belly than wanted to. My favorite was the 20-something, super-tan, spike-haired stranger who came up to me and said, "Puhhhhleeeezzzze tell me that thing is coming out soon." You have no idea Mister. Marlee Matlins eyes about popped out of her head when she saw me. She even poked my belly (trying to pop it) but to no avail. Baby has not popped out yet. Puhhhleeezze tell me she’ll be here soon. I think I’m dying.

I remember (just a few months ago) walking in a store and actually passing a full-lenght mirror. I mistakenly looked at it and, like a car wreck while the ambulance is pulling up, just couldn’t bring myself to look away. 41 weeks and I think I was almost as far out as I was tall. And I had on just about the ugliest, too-large maternity shirt imaginable. The good news is that it cannot last forever. That doesn’t mean it won’t feel like forever, though.
Course that guy was SO big! I looked like I was about to burst at 32 weeks (when he weighed what an average baby weighs at birth).
Dancing with Stars. How utterly cool and Hollywoody.LikeLike

I was looking for you last night and then I thought, “there’s no way she’ll be there, she’s so pregnant.” We saved it because Katrina LOVES the dancing so now I’ll watch for you again!

You can say you have rubbed bellies with the elite of Hollywood… or at least the tan, bleached and over make-uped… isn’t that the same? Although I must say Marleen doesn’t seem as plastic and fake as all those ballroom dancer types.

I am so sorry! I’m really hoping that you will go into labor soon. It’s crazy how bad pregnant women want the pain of labor. I’m wishing you A nice quick labor and delivery. Good job growing your baby this long! Good luck!

When I was pregnant with the twins, a man moo-ed at me in the grocery store. I wanted to sit down on the floor and cry.
I hope a milk truck ran over him on the way to his car.
You’re down to the wire, now. It’ll be over quicker than you can scream “GIVE ME THE SHOT NOW!!!”LikeLike

BLAST!! Come SOON baby!

I think you should be commended for even venturing out and not staying home on the couch eating ice cream. And then to go out and surround yourself with thin, fit, people…kudos again! 🙂
I can remember that awful last week…I tried every old wives tale: fresh pineapple, mexican food, I walked until I had blisters on my feet but any contractions would just putter out. It WILL happen soon! Funny how those last days of pregnancy seem like an eternity and then it all starts flying by! Good luck!LikeLike

Oh Morgan, I so feel your pain! I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that she does not keep you waiting too much longer!

Oh, 40 weeks always feels so incredibly loooonng! Hang in there, it will be over before you know it, and then you’ll probably miss it. :0)
Good for you in heels, I can barely stay upright in flip flops!LikeLike

Marlee is my neighbors good friend. She’s deaf as well.
Anyways- I feel for you. Once, at church, and girl who was as pregnant as I was “hopped” up onto the stage. HOPPED?!?! I can’t believe she did that, in heels.
I’m sure you’re sweetie will come out soon.LikeLike

Hang in there! If the baby is really lucky she will come today–it’s my birthday so I can tell you from experience that it is a good day to be born! But if not today any day in May is good, too.
What a fun party–definitely not something most people can say they have done in their life.LikeLike

Oh, and is it wrong to hope that the uber-tan and rude spikey haired dude gets skin cancer? That is just not something you say to a very pregnant lady. YOu get a medal just for not decking him!

Awww you poor thing! I hope that she does come soon for your sake. Have you tried any home rememdies to induce labor. Castor oil is nasty but it put me into labor both times I tried it. Also, if you have a Barry White kind of “date” night with your hubby that might work too. : ) Good luck!

You guys are such a crack up. The thought of doing the big watoozie at this point…no words people. I am having such horrific (yes, horrific) bone pain in pelvis/etc., I can barely go from sitting to standing. Ya got nothing else for me?? (don’t tell Chris I said that LOL!!)

I know exactly how you feel! My daughter was due on May 6th and she didn’t grace us with her presence until the 9th. Being 40+ weeks pregnant isn’t easy. Anyway, I think it’s great that you don’t miss out on things just because you’re pregnant. I’m only 27 weeks pregnant right now and if it were up to me, I’d probably never leave my house! I hope she comes soon! I’m so excited for you!!!

Wow, if rubbing shoulders with the stars doesn’t work, what will?! Drinking Raspberry tea, with a hot curry after washing the floor on your hands and knees??? I hope it doesn’t come to that and that you won’t have long to go…
Thinking positively for you!LikeLike

I tried everything to get Miss G here … earlier than the 11 days late that she was! The only thing I didn’t try was castor oil because I was afraid it would cause her to have meconium. Well, she was so dang late, she had meconium anyway so I’d say go for it!
BTW, I love your glamorous DWTS life!LikeLike

Same questions/comments from me as Heather W… I’m DYING to know!
Also, my first was due Christmas Day and didn’t arrive until January 2. Talk abut anxiously awaiting! Go get a pedicure, those pups deserve some pampering!LikeLike

Yeah- Chris works for DWTS, this is his 3rd season with the show and unfortunately his last day is this Sunday (perfect timing, eh?) Bummer about working in television- your jobs only last about 12 weeks.

Oh, I hate the very end of pregnancy! You are my hero for going out and doing something social. I am so irritable at that point I’m not fit for human contact.
I am waiting anxiously by the phone for the “she’s here” call!!!LikeLike

Come out baby girl! Tomorrow is my 30th birthday and it’s a GREAT day to be born. May 9th has a nice ring to it. 🙂
Hugs, Morgan! She WILL come out! 🙂LikeLike

Maybe she’ll come on Mother’s Day. I’m sure she’s waiting until then to make her big entrance – you know just to sort of smooth things over after making you go the whole 40 weeks and everything. 🙂
