Fashion District: Downtown Los Angeles.

I know, I said I was only going to post a photo a day, but the Michael Levine Fabric Warehouse deserves just a few more photo’s.  I just got back with Emily and scored some really, really great fabrics which will be making their way to you via some aprons that I will be selling in the next few weeks at the Polka Dot Parlour.

Some really fun oilcloth:

The Dick & Jane line.

You should see the size of this place- it’s insane.

Have a lovely weekend!

That is an insane amount of fabric. Looks like fun! I’ve never been to the fashion district, but it’s totally on my “to do” list for one of these days. FYI, we have made both the monte cristo sandwiches and the Sunday pasta for dinner this week, and they were scrumptious! Thanks for the great recipes!!

Looks like heaven to me! I’m jealous. I’ll have to check that place out next time I’m in CA. Where is it exactly? Is it a wholesale place?

I’ve been to the fashion district and Michael Levine once. It’s amazing, definitely a destination trip. It is the kind of place that can get overwhelming though so prepare yourself.
I thought the prices were pretty reasonable but I don’t remember the specific quilt fabric prices.

    Hi,
This is my first time visiting your blog.
I love Michael Levine. Did you go to both stores. The upholstery fabric is in the store across the street. They have good prices there. You’ll see alot of LA decorators there with their clients. It’s so interesting.

Hi! I just found your blog through the pictures of your apron in the ric-rac apron challenge from Amy’s tie one on blog.
I was deciding to rush over here and gush about how I loved your apron, and how much I love the jumbo ric-rac and always forget it exists, when I suddenly realized that the pink fabric on it is the exact fabric I just purchased to make a full apron, and I had been trying to decide whether or not to break it up with a panel or something else (it is pretty busy). Then I knew I had to come look at your blog. So, long story short, yes, I love that apron. You have good taste, it coincides exactly with my own. 😉
Also, that oilcloth up there is beautiful, and I really like the measuring tape prints. So fun! I’m going to have to look back through your blog, it’s all so interesting, and RECIPES!!! Heheh. Thanks for sharing your talent!
