I went out last Saturday night to pick up a some more bobbins and well, you can’t ever leave with just bobbins, right? There absolutely was a little fabric involved. I think the fabric on top is so funny (as funny as fabric can be). Do you see under the box of chocolates & stick of butter? It says "DANGER". Oh fabric, you are so wise beyond your years. I think you will make an adorable apron paired with the cherry fabric on the left. I love the lobster. I have been so crazy for
red lately and so this instantly popped for me. You can never have
enough polka-dots. I realized I don’t have alot of boy-ish fabrics so I
picked up the blue & orange fabric, which by the way I’m crazy about, so, now I’ll need to make a little something special for Henry. Speaking of…

This is a daily ritual for him. He squeezes his
little body behind the big red chair, tucks behind the curtains and
lines up all of his trains on the "racks" (tracks). He knows all their names: Duncan, Edward, Culdee, Gordon, Emily, Thomas , Percy and Caboose.  It was only recently that we bought the "Henry" train. He never wanted it. We’d hold up 2 trains, "choose which one you want" and he always went for the other train.  So, I did what any Mother would do, I  snuck it into the cart. And now he loves his Henry train.

My little helper. We are starting to have so much fun in the kitchen together. He loved putting all of the cupcake liners into the pan and did such a great job sprinkling the sprinkles on top. He did manage to sneak in a bite, while his Mama wasn’t looking (as is always the case)! He wants to be picked up all the time now to see what I am doing. He wants to be involved and I love that. I am so thrilled at this stage in his life. He’s growing so fast, talking alot and… I sometimes just can’t believe he’s mine.  I need to find a safer solution than the chair though, because the floors can be quite slick. I did see these but they look so big & bulky, plus I refuse to pay that much for a kitchen stool. I am up for any & all suggestions…

It’s going to be a very low-key weekend, friends for dinner (and we even have a breakfast date!) Take it easy- enjoy the simple times. I’m in heaven here.

One more thing, it’s Random Act’s of Kindness week and there’s still time to act. So, go…..do a little something  kind.

Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend!

xoxo

How sweet! I love the fabric. My two little boys (4 & 2) have had a Thomas fixation for longer than I can remember. Toby is the current favourite with Harold the ‘clippycopter’ coming a close second. I have only just found your blog (can’t remember from where) but have to say it is delightful.

We use a chair too but we turn it so the back is to the side so they have something to hold onto if they need to. I think the tower thing is cool, I know others who like it, but I agree that it’s pricey. I’ve never found one second hand.

I would have bought the food fabric too. I think an apron should definatly be considered. It would be a conversation piece for sure!

Cute pictures. We just did a chair all the time, and never went for a fancy stool. Love the fabrics!

I think it’s physically impossible to go into a fabric store and NOT come out with fabric, right? Especially not with cute fabrics like that!

Henry is getting so big! And what a great helper! I can’t wait until Madison can help in the kitchen. Plus, your valentine’s Day treats look fabulous and the apron is the greatest. I think you should win homemaker of the year award!

I love your very “dangerous” fabrics! What a great find! I, too, love to buy fabrics, but have had to stop for awhile since I have a bunch of random scraps, but not enough time to sew. Of course we always have the opposite of what we need, though. I have mostly boy fabrics (some cute cowboy prints!), so of course I had a girl! I would start sewing the quilt I intended to make with the fabric because I’ll probably have even less time and energy by the time I have another baby, but if I make a boy quilt I will certainly be destined to have all girls! Henry is so adorable, and is certainly a lucky kid to have you for a mom!!

I’m glad there isn’t a fabric with my regular favs printed on it… “DANGER” would be on every other square! This is a hoot – I love it. Henry is sure growing into such a darling little boy!

That fabric is so funny. If it were made into an apron, I wonder if it would keep me away from butter or chocolate? Probably not! Too bad we don’t live closer – Henry and Evan would have so much fun playing trains together. Evan always has to be carrying 2 trains around with him and frequently lines up his trains also. Boys are so fun!

Oh my god, he’s such a charming little kid. Reminds me so much of my daughter when she’s younger. She would stand in this bar stools contemporary and help me cook some spaghetti.
