• Chris was singing to Henry this morning. Henry was laughing his head off.  I don’t think it was the singing.  I think it was the John Denver.

I’m sorry for the way things are in China…
I’m sorry things ain’t what they used to be
    But more than anything else
    I’m sorry for myself
‘Cause you’re not here with me

So much for raising Henry in a "Denver-free" zone…

Emily & I ventured out to a salvage yard today to look for burried treasure…actually just something cool to adorn our classy student-housing apartments.  Emily made out like a bandit, I on the otherhand  didn’t allow myself to purchase anything until I do something with the window that I bought at a different salvage yard a month ago~ so many projects so little time! Anyway, it was a nice little escape from my day and we had a great time!

  • Img_1077_3I LOVE the month of May.. it’s the month that my husband & I met back in 1992. Every May takes me back to the summer of 1992… it’s still cool outside and schools almost out…it’s getting darker later & later at night..the drive-in is open and I can’t wait to go. May is the month that we decided to get married for those very reasons. This May, however, I can’t help but to think of my life one year ago.. I was 9 months pregnant & ready to give birth at any moment. We were so glad that Henry was going to be a May baby. This month that had meant so much to us already, gave us another reason to love it. Henrys nearly a  year old and I don’t know where the time has gone. His face is changing and he’s looking more like a little boy everyday. He loves smoked gouda cheese and has a new found love for Pirates Booty. We are just in love with this soon to be little boy.

Img_1114_1We just got back from a quick weekend trip up to Utah to see Matt & Vanessa graduate.. it was so nice to be there and to see all of the family. It was probably one of the most relaxing trips that we have taken home and it was nice to just hang out and sometimes do nothing! The weather was so great.. and I found myself a little sad that the Pioneer Drive-In where I first met Chris is now gonzo. Condo’s…condo’s have taken over the drive-in. Single tear. Goulet! I didn’t take too may pic’s this weekend, but here are a few of them. Img_1087_14

  • Img_1037Well, we finished off the weekend with a day trip down to San Diego. First stop, Old Town- which I’ve never been to before- but we had lots & lots of fun! Great little shops and great music! It was such a beautiful day and it was fun to be with the family. From  Old town we went up to La Jolla cove- which is a favorite past time of mine. The seals were out lounging on the beachImg_1046 and we couldn’t help but to put our toes in the water! Henry is really loving playing in the sand and the texture on his fingers (we only had to pull sand out of his mouth once!) I think he’s definately going to be a beach boy! You can see all the pics from San Diego in the ‘Photo Albums’ section. Hope everyone has a wonderful upcoming week! More to come!

  • Today we drove down to San Pedro to catch the ferry to Catalina Island. It’s been ages since I have been there and we had a terrific time.Img_0957_1 It started out as what looked to be a dreary day, but it was perfect. We decided to branch out and take a 2-hour tour out into the wilderness (in hopes of seeing a buffalo).

We took a 1953 Flexible Clipper bus which was just awesomer (is that even a word??) than awesome. We actually saw one of the 150 buffalo on the island which was very very cool. We’ve attached all of our photos from today in our "Catalina" photo album, so check them out! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

  • It was a gorgeous day here in West LA and so we decided to pack up dinner & eat it at the beach (Carol & Jim came into town today).. by the time we got to the beach about 15 minutes later, it was soo foggy-you  couldn’t see 20 feet in front of you…Img_0893

Anyway- we still had a great time and oddly enough the weather stayed pretty warm. Henry turned 11 months today and after a somewhat nightmarish week of trying to get him on a sleeping schedule, I think we have things worked out.

I love taking pictures of Chris & Henry- my two best guys. They are just darling together and Henry is just mad about his Dad. Img_0907No one can get Henry to laugh harder than Chris. We are enjoying parenthood so much more than we ever thought imaginable, which is why we have a little announcement.. ha ha you wish.

Hope everyone has a great weekend- we’ll be down in San Diego this weekend and are thinking of hitting Catalina on Saturday so we’ll post later.

  • Well, it was a fun and exciting birthday weekend (I can’t believe I’m 30 YIKES!!!) which officially kicked off last Saturday. Some friends had me over for brunch, which was such fun. We went up to the recently opened Getty Villa in Malibu which was absolutely incredible. We had such a wonderful day wandering around the grounds. Img_0744_1 Img_0721_3

We went to dinner that night and there was a little surprise party waiting for me when we got back which was so fun…not so fun was the "older than dirt" get-up that made it’s way onto my head. Friends brought over some beautiful flowers and it was such a great day. Easter-Sunday was my actual birthday and Chris spoiled me with some great things from L’Occitane (the best)!
