• I'm opening up 2 spaces for the Halloween Craft Night. First 2 to email me are in.

    FULL- Thanks!

  • IMG_0053 Kate's been running around the house for weeks saying, "Great Pumpkin, WHERE ARE YOU????" When I asked her what I could applique for her, she wanted a pumpkin. A pumpkin it was. For the Halloween Craft Night we are going to be reverse-appliqueing which is a really fun & simple technique that you can use year round. I'm getting really excited for the craft night! There is a great mix of old friends & new coming (and gosh- they are coming from hours away- which means so very much!!) IMG_0056
Here's the part where I officially post that:

THE HALLOWEEN CRAFT NIGHT IS FULL

We are at 13 and that's all I can (comfortably) fit! Thanks to everyone who has signed up. I promise to make it worth your time (and your goodie bags will be packed!)

Mark your calendars my fellow Angelinos (that sounds/feels weird.) This looks like a great time for the whole family! I love that some of the proceeds benefit LAUSD school garden programs even though I'm pretty sure our school doesn't have one. Boo.  They had me at Tote Bag, Giveaways and Chef Demo's. We'll be there will bells on; maybe we'll see you there (I'm talking to you Kimber & Chad)

  • IMG_0032One of the things I'll be doing at our craft night is showing how to make these yummy candy corn shaped cookies. These little bite-sized morsels are super simple and made with a secret ingredient : ) IMG_0038 The batch makes a metric ton so I'm thinking I may bag these up and hand them out for Halloween…We are so excited for Halloween! The big bins with all of our decorations are on the floor and waiting to be put out. Next week we start the costumes!

There are just a few spots left for craft night; e-mail me if you are interested!

    Have a lovely weekend!

    XO

  • IMG_0007 My little Charlie turned 10 months about a week and um…a half ago : ) 10 months has proven to be monumental for this one. His very first tooth finally broke through over the weekend AND he has just officially gone from his army crawl to actually crawling. We are slowly moving out of pureed baby food as he has started feeding himself small chunks of food. Oh and he likes eating legos. IMG_0017 I think we are going to keep him.

Stay tuned for tomorrow; I'll be posting the first of what we'll be making at the Halloween party (thanks to those who have already signed up!)

I'm really happy to finally have this up and going! I used to have Halloween Craft Parties when I lived in Boston but that was years ago and it's definitely time for another.  The details are listed above (you can click the orange box to make it bigger.) Everything is included. All you need to do is show up. Because I live in an apartment the number of spots will be limited as I need to have enough room for everything to be set-up (and you know for you to do important things like BREATHE!) I am thinking about 10 people would be the max.

During the next week I will be posting sneak-peeks here on the blog of what we'll be doing/making (camera situation will hopefully be rectified tomorrow!) So check back. I'm going to close the sign-ups on Wednesday, October 13th.

Sound like a good time? I'd love to see some new faces (and hopefully some old!) If you are interested, email me at Morganautumnmoore (at) yahoo.com and I'll send you a paypal invoice.

I hope you can make it! We'll have a hoot of a time!

    Happy October!

  • Venice Beach, CA  Thursday, September 30th, 2010

    The
Boys (Chris & Jason) flew home yesterday from their 5 day
fly-fishing trip (we were so happy to see them!) We all went to Venice
Beach & then to dinner. It was wonderful. The children had a ball.

We are going to miss them when they leave.

    Sob.

  • IMG_0083 Kim & I had it tonight after dinner. Vanilla ice cream drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt. It was really (no really good.) The sea salt was just the right amount of salty. Try it out- you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm so happy Kim & the boys are here; we've missed them so much.

I still have no camera which is making me royally bummed out. Royally.
