Girl, close your eyes
Let that rhythm get into you
Dont try to fight it
There aint nothin that you can do
Relax your mind
Lay back and groove with mine
You got to feel the heat
And we can ride the boogie
Share that beat of love
Let that rhythm get into you
Dont try to fight it
There aint nothin that you can do
Relax your mind
Lay back and groove with mine
You got to feel the heat
And we can ride the boogie
Share that beat of love
I'm royally bummed out that Michael Jackson died. I mean royally. I wasn't even a big fan of the late MJ (I can call him that, right?) but a few of the interviews I've heard since his death have completely changed my opinion of him for the better. I believe he was a really good person and gosh darn it, wasn't mid-twenties MJ completely adorable? Sure the days of round-brushed hair and wearing flannel christmas pajamas to courtrooms were a bit kooky- but I'm willing to look past it all.
We downloaded a few MJ songs to the iPod and they have been on constant rotation this last month. Our MJ play-list currently has (what we like to call the best of the best):
Don't stop till you get enough
Rock with you
Billie Jean
Human Nature
Man in the Mirror
Will you be there
You are not alone
"Man in the Mirror' is Michael Jackson at his finest. That song is so good. I caught Henry in the kitchen a few weeks ago singing, in his highest pitched voice, "I'm starting with the Man in the Mirror!" Oh the joy. The brainwashing is working.
Anyway, he was generous, misunderstood (I mean no one is prepared/capable to handle that type of fame)
a good Father, a good person. Yes, I believe he was. It's rotten that anyone can make accusations, true or false, and have it tarnish your reputation for the rest of your life.I have a confession: I drove by his place the other day on the way home from Coldwater Canyon Park. It was TOTALLY on the way home. 3.5 miles from our place. I was just driving West on Sunset and made a slight right and well, his house was just. siting. there. I kind of didn't have any choice. The car just veered to the right. Is that believable?
I think he was brilliant. So so talented. And it's such a bummer that he's gone. Sad for those adorable children of his not to have their Father. Sad for us to not have anymore MJ. Boo on that.
