IMG_1534 We made it over to the farmer's market today. We were in need of some herbs and they are always more affordable at the farmers market ($1 bunch) as opposed to going to my local market. We are lucky because you can usually find a market running every day of the week.IMG_1536 I'm not going to lie. I don't shop at Farmer's Market often. I'm a very economical shopper (I mean, who isn't these days, right?) If it's more affordable to buy it at the market, I will though. IMG_1540 Today we got: thyme, basil, dill, chives, mint, cilantro. For veggies: leeks, lettuce, carrots, corn, zucchini, cucumber & green beans. All for $20. All I really needed was dill, mint & cukes but I couldn't resist the rest. Anyone have any great idea's for the thyme? I know what to do with everything else. Maybe it will go on tonight's roasted chicken.

I was pondering blog life this morning in the shower. Do you ever feel like there is this big standard out in blogland? Wood toys are better. Organic is best. Stay away from plastic at all costs. Whole wheat vs white. It's kind of alot, right? Like you could make yourself totally crazy? So here's what you should know about One More Moore:

I prefer wood toys (The kids, of course, could care less)
I think they are more asthetically pleasing. Do they have some plastic? You bet.
I don't buy organic (GASP!)
I gave Henry a chocolate chip cookie for breakfast yesterday.
I shop sales and try to be smart when spending our money on food.
I make almost all of our food from scratch. It's how I was raised. I know nothing else.
I let Henry eat at McDonalds.
I drink Diet Coke.
I didn't buy any of the cherries in the first pic. $5.00 a lb? You kiddin' me??
One day, I hope to be able to grow all the fruit & veggies we eat.
That would be pure bliss.

Phew. I'm glad to have that off my chest. I hope you've never felt judged here about food or how you are raising your family. You know, we all are doing the best we can. You do your best. And your best is good enough. I promise. IMG_1545 We are all happy and more importantly, healthy (as demonstrated by Kate who's face and shirt are stained with farmers market goodness.) I hope you are happy, too.
