This no camera business stinks, right?? Lame. Chris brought one home from work for me (whatta guy) but it's…meh…and I'm not used to it and blah blah blah. All I want to do is make peeps and blog about it, right? Sheesh. I ask for so little.
So the peeps turned out better the second time around. I actually couldn't get to the marshmallow for a few days so I left them wrapped in saran wrap, which I think helped firm them up. I used the same marshmallow recipe that I linked earlier except poured the 'mallow into a large cookie sheet. Anyway, the cookie cutters ended up working really well. I dipped the peeps in water, blotted them with a paper towel and dipped them into the sanding sugar. They turned out delish.
The picture does not do them justice. I blame the camera. Trust me they are good and need to be distributed asap because we have peeps coming out of our ears! Henry's pants are done and I've just finished the embroidery on Kate's dress. They were both made with brown linen fabric and they have yellow & white trim on the bottom. I finished Henry's pants on Wednesday and he insisted on wearing them all day with his winter boots (they are capri's). I'll admit- I loved them too and think I need to make at least a dozen for Summer.
Just before heading to bed, Henry placed his & Kate's Easter baskets outside the front door (a tradition we started somewhere along the way) and they've now been filled with books and toys and easter treats and are ready to be hidden somewhere where only little boys & girls can find them!
