Ridiculously cute hats, coy little poses. She may be smiling here, but I know she was thinking something like this:
Henry calls this her "Pirate Face." Argh Matey! She was a big 5 days old here. Wow. I'm in love.

She is so adorable!! Yes, girls get you wrapped around their finger from the very beginning. I can see a little Henry in her, too… though more in the smile than the pirate face! So cute. Congrats!

I know that look on the left. All I can say is, you’re in for trouble now.
This is a very expressive baby for 5 days old. My own daughter gave me that look early on. She was a tremendously unhappy baby. You know why? Because she KNEW she should be able to do something other than sit in a baby carrier. She wanted to be up and out into the world.
You’ve got a pirate princess for sure.

I had a girl after 3 boys and swore I would never give in to the “girl life.” Yeah, that lasted a few days. While my mom was here after she was born (the baby, not my mom!) I had her knitting and crocheting hats. I purposely bought yarn before my mom arrived. Yeah, your baby is in for it and she is so cute, so enjoy the whole thing!

Morgan, she is so amazing. Her face is sweet. That hat is pretty sweet, too! Umm, did anyone warn you about how the cutest girl clothes ever are out there waiting for you to buy them? I also had a boy first and then a girl…it’s a little freaky how adorable girl clothes can be…and I’d much rather make girl clothes than boy, which makes me feel a tad bit guilty.

She is so cute! I love the first couple of weeks after I bring a baby home from the hospital. I love new babies. They go from new borns to babies too fast. But then I love when they start smiling and laughing. Well ok, kids are great. i have to remind myself to enjoy every phase of them growing up. I’m glad I’m a Mom and I am so happy for you to have 2 adorable kids. And so happy for you that you are no longer pregnant.

So beautiful and fat! How lovely! I wish I could still be thought of as beautiful and “full figured” just like in the early 1800s before self-starvation became the in-thing. Now it is just something to admire in darling babies. And I love her name! Hope you visit us in SLC soon!

What a sweet little face! Little girls are fun. I didn’t think at first I’d want my girls to be too prissy girly-gilr, but after having the third one I just gave in and embraced all the pink-princess-barbie-glitter-garb. No use fighting it! Such fun ahead for you!

Oh she is so precious! I love that hat. SOooo cute! My son Aiden makes that second face. I see that she has the “peely hands” and Aiden still has that too. It’s fun that our babies are only a couple days apart!

Have you put her in a dress and tights yet? My daughter was a month old the first time I did and I swear to you, I cried. When my husband asked what was wrong all I could say was “I have a real life baby doll!!!” 🙂

Morgan, I have to tell you that I was reading your entry about your feelings toward your son, now that your daughter is here, and it made me cry. He sounds like a darling little guy. What a sweet little family, and what lucky little kids. Congratulations.
