The old man is snoring (actually, it’s the little man that’s snoring.) Rain, it’s so fun to have it for a few days. A change from the constant 70 degree weather, not that I’m complaining or anything, because I’m not. It’s just nice to cozy up with some hot cocoa and movies and dust off the red pirate  rain coat and matching umbrella (for the little man) and take walks outside. Okay, we haven’t actually taken a walk outside in the rain, it’s too cold- but I keep promising him everyday we will. Any excuse to use the umbrella and raincoat. Maybe we’ll do that this afternoon.
Img_9215 I’ve been slowly working on some new item’s for my little, neglected shop. Wearable pin-cushions (kind of similar to these), oilcloth children’s smocks and I’m tossing around the idea of doing a valentine banner similar to the one I did last June. But Valentines is quickly approaching so meh- not sure if that will happen or not.

I’m working out some small kinks for some kidlet bonnet/hat thingys. I think I’ve got it  down and I picked up some great fabric downtown for them- so I’m super excited about those- they look adorable on. For kidlets from 0-6ish…

I was watching The Painted Veil last night  while sewing. I’m only 1 hour into it, but loving it so far. And for the record, I’m digging this season of Project Runway and I’m just gonna throw it out there. I think Rami should win. He’s brilliant.  I’m just sayin’.

    Hello Morgan,
I just visited your Etsy shop and think that your lunch bags are a genius idea, can you make that oil skin (is it called that?) material yourself out of normal material, or do you have to buy it like that?
Also that picture of you 2 asleep, made me feel so all cosy on a frosty British morning.

Oh, I love The Painted Veil. Please try to watch it in one sitting. The story needs to build without interruption. Edward Norton is perhaps my favorite contemporary actor. The ending is different that the author’s but so much more satisfying. Let me know what you think after you’ve finished it.

Yeah, Rami sure is talented, but I have to agree with the judges…he’s been doing the same thing over and over. I’m glad he didn’t try to do his drapey thing with the denim the other night.

I am such a Project Runway fan. I watch it and sometimes even the reruns. I think Rami is very talented and I like all of his creations except the green prom dress. I like the gal with the curly long black hair… can’t think of her name. I think the 2 of them will make the final 3. But, you never know…

I love the Painted Veil! It is such a beautiful movie.
So Rami is your favorite on Project Runway huh? I can’t help but have a little soft spot in my heart for arrogant Christian. He is cocky and way to arrogant, but I am charmed by his crazy hair 🙂 Rami is definintly one of the best designers though.

Love the pin cushions. I used to let my middle girl dress in her rain coat and boots and send her outside with her umbrella. She loved it, I could stay warm and watch her enjoying puddles out the window. Then she’d come in for a dry off and a hot chocolate!

o i’m in love with the polka dot child’s smock. makes me wana birth a kidlet just to use it…well, not really. hehehe.
i am boycotting p.r. since it’s not a fair contest any more. rami and gillian seem to be the most likely to make it to the end, but sweet pea might suprise everyone.
