Emily & I ventured out to a salvage yard today to look for burried treasure…actually just something cool to adorn our classy student-housing apartments.  Emily made out like a bandit, I on the otherhand  didn’t allow myself to purchase anything until I do something with the window that I bought at a different salvage yard a month ago~ so many projects so little time! Anyway, it was a nice little escape from my day and we had a great time!

Where is this amazing salvge yard and why do I have to have a job that doesn’t allow me to take time out for shopping???? Richard and I are going to Las Vegas in a few weeks to go to the swap meet, not as cool as a salvage yard, more for the people watching actually, but I am excited! Have you seen the Flea Market at the Santa Monica Airport? I see the sign every week when I go to Costo (I know, I go to Costco every week for two people…alarming!) and I think…curse you flea market for being on a Sunday!!!

I was in Seattle the other day and this guy was hauling out a big ole’ window….like 3×3 feet to the garbage. I grabbed it up SUPAH fast! I already have 3 others….but you can’t have too many old windows can you? 🙂 Thankfully all of mine have been free!
